The AHP’s Green and Natural Hydrogen Conference, which took place in Addis Ababa on April 8-9, 2025, proved to be highly successful. All key themes were effectively discussed and addressed.
A decision was made to initiate work on the first significant project, ‘Hydrogen Trucks for the Berbera Corridor.’ Participants recommended the creation of a collective order book for several nations, such as Ethiopia, Somaliland, Nigeria, South Africa, and Madagascar, to realize economies of scale and lower costs. The African projects will pursue close collaboration with partners from China, India, Germany, the UK, Japan, the EU, and other regions. By enhancing African capabilities, these initiatives will promote economic growth and commercial success in Africa.
